Name of article

[edit]

Shouldn't this article be called Boundary microphone? The article covers more than just PZM-trademarked microphones, doesn't it? --Macrakis (talk) 18:10, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moved and tweaked. Good suggestion! Binksternet (talk) 18:38, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a boundary mic pic we could use?

[edit]

There are few boundary mic pics available. Is this ceiling mic a boundary mic? I'd like to use pic if it is a boundary mic.

Photo of a ceiling with a video projector and some kind of sensor with a red LED

User:Binksternet, is this pic a boundary mic?

I can't tell from the photo, but I don't think so. I'm assuming the white plastic pincushion thing with a red light is what we are looking at. It has a translucent plastic cover, which is typical of ultrasonic motion detectors. It does not have an acoustic grille, typical for a ceiling microphone. If I was a betting man, I would bet not a microphone. Binksternet (talk) 20:37, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I will try to track down another boundary mic pic elsewhere.OnBeyondZebraxTALK 02:38, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
